TTH Holstebro is a handball club located in the western part of Denmark. Ever since the club was founded back in 2000 it has been a real force in the Danish handball league with several top rankings in the domestic league and cup.
The many triumphs and titles for TTH Holstebro have also resulted in success outside the handball arena. During the past three years, the club has experienced a 35 percent increase in new sponsors and are now close to 300 sponsors in total.
The increase of sponsors made them realise that they lacked structure regarding their working procedures, as they used to manage the data and sponsor information manually, which was becoming an impossible task.
The challenge: Many manual processes and lack of structure
The many triumphs and titles for TTH Holstebro have also resulted in success outside the handball arena. During the past three years, the club has experienced a 35 percent increase in new sponsors joining them and thereby building a stronger and healthier fi nancial foundation. This commercial success, however, has brought some challenges as well.
“Our success in the domestic league and the following success in Europe has meant that we
have built up a strong brand, and many want to be part of this success. Therefore, we have many new companies joining us, and we now have almost 300 sponsors, which is quite an achievement for a Danish handball club.
Nevertheless, the increase of sponsors made us realise that we lacked structure regarding
our working procedures, as we used to manage the data and sponsor information manually,
which was becoming an impossible task with even more sponsors joining. In addition, when
a sponsorship agreement were about to expire and had to be resigned, we often lacked
information and transparency.
Furthermore, our recent commercial success also meant that we experienced an escalation
of participants for pre-game events for our sponsors. Of course, this increase equalled more
turnover, but it brought some signifi cant logistical challenges as well. It was very diffi cult for
us to make correct forecasts regarding the ordering of catering for each event, and we tried
to manage that with various spreadsheets. Thus, to help us overcoming those obstacles we

Eliminating the 122 spreadsheets and controlling logistics
